Activities
My research falls into three main areas: systematics (and taxonomy), molecular biology and biogreography. Research projects often involve a combination of these areas to investigate morphological change, speciation and macroevolutionary patterns. For published outcomes from projects and collaborations, see full list of publications.
Sea regions of study
Coral Sea
South Atlantic Ocean
Skills
I am an evolutionary biologist interested in marine invertebrates, especially jellyfish. My research is focused on applying omics tools, morphological analyses and ecological experiments to understand morphological variation and speciation, as well as biogeographic and macroevolutionary trends. My experience also involves teaching and outreach in courses, workshops, seminars and conferences, reviewing and editing academic texts, as well as programming and bioinformatics.
