Studies of mesoscale and
coastal processes, eddies, fronts, and their atmospheric forcing,
integrating data from an array of in situ and remote sensing
instruments. On flow through straits and embayments of the Philippine
archipelago using High Frequency (HF) Radar and other observational
methods in conjunction with model outputs to study the response of the
upper ocean to different forcing mechanisms. Investigated the physical-biological interactions
in the ocean as well as its governing processes and implications for the
marine ecosystem.
My professional activities include basic research, data management,
teaching and involvement in instrument development of HF Radar.
