Activities

ecology and evolution of marine organisms, especially deep-sea fauna. My current research includes a study of the population genetics of commercially exploited precious corals (gorgonians) in the Hawaiian Archipelago. I am also involved in a population genetic study of several species of shallow-water scleractinian corals in Hawaii.
