Marie-Chantal Ross is a strategic program leader with expertise in developing and managing national research and innovation programs in the marine, transportation, and environmental sectors. She has led multimillion-dollar initiatives at the National Research Council, such as the $50M Ocean Program and the $9M/year Fleet Forward 2020, aligning scientific research with industry and government goals. Her skills include program development, stakeholder engagement, policy integration, technology commercialization, and managing interdisciplinary research teams. She is recognized for turning around underperforming programs, advancing clean technology R&D, and strengthening Canada’s innovation footprint in marine and intelligent transportation systems. Fluent in French and English, she also holds an M.Eng. in Engineering Management and a B.A.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.
