Biologist from the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco, with a master's degree in Biodiversity and Marine Ecology from the Federal University of São Paulo. Currently pursuing a PhD at the Institut Français de Recherche pour l'Exploitation de la Mer (IFREMER) in partnership with the Université de Bretagne Occidentale (France). Investigates ecological patterns and processes affecting deep-sea meiofaunal communities, with a particular focus on free-living Nematoda.
Research interests include Zoology, Meiofauna Ecology, and the Ecology and Taxonomy of Free-Living Nematoda. Currently part of the Deep-Rest project (Conservation and Restoration of Deep-Sea Ecosystems in the Context of Deep-Sea Mining), which aligns with the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development.
