Sophie is the founder and CEO of Adelwise, a sustainable finance consulting and independent “Blue Economy” Research Provider focused on identifying the best Investment solutions in support of a Sustainable Ocean. Sophie is a member of the Investment Committee of the Medfund and also serves on the advisory committees of the UN Global Compact Ocean Investment Protocol, the French government’s coastal agency "Conservatoire du Littoral," and several financial services organizations.
Sophie has worked for over 25 years in investment banking (Credit Suisse, Samsung Securities, BNP Paribas, Société Générale, ING Barings) as an equity and quantitative strategist in Asian and Emerging Markets (based 13 years in London and 15 years in Hong Kong). She developed investment strategies based on quantitative and thematic research in coordination with the research teams. For her work, she has regularly received votes and top ranked analyst mentions (Institutional Investors and Reuters Surveys) from institutional investors and hedge funds. She also worked in two digital transformation projects for BNP Paribas.
Sophie holds a MSc in Computing Science from Imperial College London, she is certified by the CFA Institute (Certificate in ESG investing) and she has completed the University of Cambridge's sustainable finance course.
Sophie is also committed to the ESG cause on a personal level. She is president of the environmental NGO SeaGeneration . Its mission is the conservation and restoration of marine environment, with en emphasis on education and Asia. This allows her to have a real field experience which is important to her and to establish links between the worlds of philanthropy, finance, academia and corporate.
