Activities
As part of the Modélag Project (Participatory Modelling and Fisheries Management of Lagoon Socio-Ecosystems), and under the supervision of Jean Wencélius and Marguerite Taiarui, I am conducting research on the social and environmental organization of small-scale fisheries on the Tahiti peninsula.
My research adopts an intersectional gender studies approach to explore women's roles in lagoon fishing. Specifically, I aim to:
• Investigate how gender operates as a socially constructed category in fishery context,
• Examine how marine ecosystem research and policies can integrate gendered marine activities, recognizing local empirical knowledge to improve marine space management.
