Physical Oceanography

I am engaged in the study of the kinematics and structure of buoyant water plumes as they exit the Winyah Bay estuary in South Carolina, USA. For this purpose, I have developed a fully autonomous surface vehicle (ASV) equipped with a high-resolution Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (AD2CP), which provides the velocity field. Additionally, I utilize CTD and microCTD sensors to gather physical properties of the water column. My responsibilities include acquiring, processing, and interpreting data from research cruises. I am also involved in designing a MATLAB software to automate the data processing, streamlining the analysis for enhanced efficiency and speed.
