Activities
Currently, I am working on the distribution of fish larvae in response to the physical variations of the Southwest Atlantic Ocean, encompassing parts of the south and southeast coast of Brazil. For this study, I aim to identify patterns of associations of these fish larvae, belonging to the Myctophidae family, with water salinity and temperature, using a database collected between 1970 and 2010.
Skills
I am qualified to conduct field data collection using advanced instrumentation to measure physical parameters of the oceans, such as temperature, salinity, and currents, and to perform the analysis of this data, aiming to understand the behavior of marine organisms in response to these environmental variations. Additionally, I am proficient in conducting laboratory research, ecological analyses, and effectively communicating findings to both the scientific and non-scientific communities, with the goal of promoting the conservation and sustainable management of marine resources.
