I work with marine microorganisms. I evaluate their ability to degrade synthetic polyethylene plastics and biodegradable plastics, looking for possible biotechnological mechanisms to deal with plastic pollution events in marine environments.

I like the concept of a collaborative, plural and diverse science. I always try to listen to all voices in my projects, because in problems as important as plastic pollution, it is necessary to build initiatives and responses that consider various social sectors, from academia to citizens in general.
