Marine and Coastal Engineering

PhD in electronic engineering at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). Currently, he is conducting a postdoc in underwater target tracking using acoustic-range-only methods and moving platforms at the UPC. His field of expertise is underwater technology, involved in both underwater cabled observatories (OBSEA) and autonomous vehicles (Wave Glider, GuanayII), with skills in programming languages (Python, C++ and LabView), embedded platforms and microcontrollers, technical software (Pspice, Matlab, Altium and NX6 3D) and printed circuit boards design (manufacturing, soldering, and housing). He has been working at SARTI-MAR research group for the UPC since 2011, participating in different national and international projects, and collaborating with different institutions: Monterey Aquarium Research Institute (MBARI), Institut Supérieur de l'Électronique et du Numérique (ISEN), and Institute of Marine Sciences (ICM-CSIC).
