Activities
My research in microbial ecology applies bioinformatics and data science to investigate the dynamics of the living ocean. During my Master’s thesis, I led a collaborative effort between three major ocean observatories to prototype a global system of omic biodiversity data exchange and analysis. My aim is to continue this effort and bridge stakeholders within and beyond academia, advancing the expansion of global omic and microbial observation networks. Further, I aim to raise awareness of the significance behind this work by reaching out to and training the next generation of ocean enthusiasts.
