Survey of kenya is the national mapping agency of kenya under the ministry of lands and physical planning. It is also the chair and secretariat of the kenya National Hydrographic and Oceanographic committee(KeNHOC). We carry out all types of surveys including topographic surveys, Cadastral surveys, engineering surveys, Hydrographic surveys,photogrametry and remote sensing and approve all survey work done by survey consultants under the provisions of the Survey Act cap 299. There is established a Hydrographic survey section headed by a senior assistant director of surveys assisted by ten qualified FIG/IHO/ICA accredited CAT B Hydrographers. This section is currently the secretariat of KeNHOC.
