Reproductive biology of shrimps.
This study
looked at ovarian development in the penaeid shrimp population of Kilifi Creek
to decipher whether these penaied crustaceans which are thought to breed in
deeper water, were breeding within the creek waters. Further, the study looked
at sexual maturity and sex ratios, length-weight relationships and condition
factor to assess the health status of the penaeid shrimp populations in Kilifi
Creek.
Ichthyoplankton Distribution within the Comoros and Tanzanian marine water from samples collected during the IIOE2 Onboard SA Agulhas II.
The study aimed at investigating the fish larvae distribution in Tanzania and Comoros regions. The study further did some identification of the samples to identify the different families they belong.
