I am an ecologist with a broad background in zoology and marine biology, with a special interest in seabirds. My focus is in the field of conservation biology, and I am particularly interested in the effects of environmental changes on the foraging ecology, population dynamics, physiology and phenology of seabirds. I have worked with both tropical and cold-temperate species, particularly focussing on southern rockhopper penguins on the Falkland Islands and lately Antarctic fulmarine petrels. My recently obtained extension of my FWO post-doctoral grant will allow me to extend my studies to the Northern Hemisphere. From 2018 onwards, I will be working on northern fulmars in Iceland.
