Activities
Practical knowledge of analyzing climate science datasets from various sources which
includes Atmosphere & Ocean In-situ data, Satellite observational datasets and numerical
model datasets.
• Experience in using numerical models like WRF(Weather Research & Forecasting), ROMS(Regional Ocean Modelling System), Modular Ocean Model(MOM) on High Performance Computers(HPCs).
• Hands on experience in handling various oceanography and meteorological instruments such as ARGO(Array for Real time Geostrophic Oceanography), Moored Buoys, Drifters, CTD(Conductivity Temperature Depth), cast-away CTD, Automated Underwater vehicles(AUVs), LIDAR, SONAR, Automatic Weather station(AWS), Radiosonde, Rain
gauge, Wind Anemometer, Sun Photometer
Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office(Word, Excel, 3PowerPoint).
• Operating System:WINDOWS, UNIX/LINUX.
• Languages: FORTRAN, R, PYTHON.
• Visualization software: GRADS, MATLAB, FERRET, NCL, CDO, NCO.
