Activities
As the Invasive Species Technical Officer for Vallée de Mai UNESCO World Heritage Site. My Work entails Controlling and Surveying Invasive Plant Species in the Park. I also participate in other research activities such as Weather, Coco de mer and Black Parrot monitoring and also assist in educational and outreach programs.

Maritime Training Centre, I have been given opportunities to develop in Maritime French, Maritime English, Administration and Basic
Accounting, Fisheries Legislation, Mathematics, Fisheries biology, Spanish,
Marine Organism, Fish Processing and Exporting Packaging, Mari Culture, HACCP,
Artisanal Fishing, ICT, Basic Navigation, Fish Handling and Preservation ,
First aid, Fire Fighting, Personal Survival Techniques with Personal Safety
& Social, Responsibility (PST/PSSR), Restricted Operator’s Certificate Of
Proficiency in Radiotelephony (ROCP and Diving (PADI Advance Open Water Diver Course).
Furthermore
during the my time at MTC I also did work attachment at Seychelles National Park
Authority for 8 months, where I managed to do some beach profiling, turtle
monitoring and research on corals.
After my two years of training at MTC, I was working as a
conservation ranger on Desroches and Aride Island at the Island Conservation
Society. On Desroches I have done tour guiding and with Hotel Guests, Monitoring: Aldabra Giant Tortoises, Sea Turtles, Shore
Birds, Vagrant Birds and Sea Birds and controlling invasive species such as
rats, cats and invasive plants. The invasive plants removed are replaced by
endemic and native plants from the nursery such as (Indian Almonds, Indian
Mulberry, Takamaka Trees….). On Aride Island I have done tour guiding,
monitoring: Sea Turtles and Marsh Terrapins, Shore Birds, Sea Birds and endemic
Land Birds and the removal of invasive plants on the Island.
