Activities
I am a Marine biologist with experience in Earth science research, connected to institutions focused on investigating the history of aquatic ecosystems in remote areas of the Chilean southern coast. In recent years, I have been working as a responsible lecturer for undergraduate courses related to Earth sciences in the fields of oceanography and paleoceanography. I am confident in my skills to manage, lead, and coordinate scientific research, as well as to organize knowledge transfer events. I have adaptability and flexibility to work both in the laboratory and in field activities.
My interests are fjord oceanography, paleoceanography at the chilean continental margin, and phytoplankton production variability. I like to collaborate with ocean science education and communication to society.
Sea regions of study

Skills
Marine Biologist from Universidad Austral de Chile, Master of Marine and Lacustrine Sciences from Ghent University, Doctor in Oceanography from Universidad de Concepción. She has experience in Oceanography of Patagonia and the Antarctic Peninsula. She recently published investigation about the influence of summer conditions on water column properties and phytoplankton productivity at the South Shetland Islands, and is currently busy with investigation about the influence of deglacial freshwater flux on past siliceous phytoplankton productivity at the chilean continental margin off Patagonia.
Comment(s)
I would like to participate more at courses and meetings to improve my marine scientist career.
