Activities
I am concerned with ocean and climate variability with emphasis on observations of ocean circulation and mixing using modern robotic platforms including profiling floats and gliders, and development of ocean observatories for long-term observations. I am more particularly interested in the mesoscale and submesoscale phenomena (and their role in the cross-slope exchanges, the winter water formation, and the physical-biological coupling) and in the regional oceanography of the Mediterranean Sea.
