Tiago Repolho is a researcher at the Centro de Ciências do Mar e do Ambiente (MARE, Portugal) and a lecturer at the Faculdade de Ciências - Universidade de Lisboa (FCUL, Portugal). He completed his BSc in Biology (2001), pursued an MSc [REF] in Biology and Marine Resources Management (2007), and a PhD in Marine Biology and Aquaculture [REF]. After completing his FCT-funded PhD (sea urchin aquaculture, 2012), he pursued an FCT-funded postdoc (2014-2019), exploring the potential of marine biota adaptation to a range of environmental drivers i.e. ocean warming, ocean acidification, and deoxygenation/hypoxia. Marine Aquaculture and Climate Change are areas of great interest to Tiago. While developing his current line of work, Tiago aims to pioneer groundbreaking knowledge by addressing aquaculture-related challenges through the application of emerging technologies, thus additionally contributing to future decision-making strategies focused on environmental sustainability and blue growth, in line with international initiatives, e.g. EU Blue Growth Strategy, UN Agenda for Sustainable Development. Tiago has acted as PI (n=5), Co-PI (n=2) or team member in 25 national/international R&D&I-funded projects. He has also been awarded grants and fellowships from prestigious organizations e.g. IOC-UNESCO, FCT, Company of Biologists, and others. He has published 52 international peer-reviewed papers (H-index: 28; Citations: 1908). He has also presented 65 oral and 55 poster communications at national and international meetings. Currently, Tiago supervises 1 PhD and 3 MSc students (supervised 2 Postdocs, 3 MSc students, 6 MSc research scholars, 5 Erasmus+ interns, since 2016), performs advanced course training for PhD students (PhD programme in Biology; PhD programme in Marine Sciences, FCUL, since 2016), and experimental tutoring to MSc and PhD students (since 2012). Internationally, he is a member of the FMS editorial board, the Society for Open, Reliable, Transparent Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, and the GOA-ON Network. He has acts as evaluator and rapporteur to prestigious national (Portuguese Innovation Agency, since 2019) and international funding agencies (e.g. EU Research Executive Agency; US National Science Foundation; Dutch Research Council, since 2016), besides reviewing for international publishers (since 2011). His commitment is also science outreach-oriented (over 55 outreach activities have been performed since 2012). As an objective-driven professional, he always seeks new professional challenges and opportunities with academia and private partners.
