The activities of the 5th EUROPEAN PHYCOLOGICAL CONGRESS will directly and indirectly concern: 1) Basic research outputs relevant to ecology, cytology, molecular development and phylogeny which project the use of algae as means and tools for constant research activity worldwide. 2) Procedures and technologies relevant to the environment, the pollution and the possibilities to use and apply algae to confront corresponding problems. 3) Means, applications and products in the fields of health, pharmaceuticals, cosmetology and nutrition – gastronomy. 4) Actions in the fields of education and environmental training.
