A special ceremony is scheduled at UNESCO Headquarters in Room II of the Fontenoy building to open one full year of celebrations and activities worldwide on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO (1960-2010). This event will coincide with the UN World Ocean Day and the opening of the 43rd Executive Council. See also the anniversary website at IOC 50th Website Displays of IOC programmes and activities will be setup in the Reception area outside Salle I and II in Fontenoy 7-20 June.
