The current training programme aims to improve the skills of the participants to undertake the following tasks involved in Tsunami Modelling: • Establishment of the national and international network of the data sources • Process bathymetric, topographic and shoreline data with existing Model • Evaluate and edit data using existing Modelers • Develop coastal Digital Elevation Model (DEM) using gridding algorithm • Evaluate DEM’s • Learn the requirements for bathymetric and topographic data valid for inundation maps construction • Learn how to produce inundation maps By the end of the training participants are expected to set up the Tsunami Model and generate inundation maps for their areas of interest.
