The group is expected to continue to facilitate Member States’ intersessional consultations on the matters of Governance, Programming and Budgeting, including the review of the IOC Programme and Budget 2024–2025 (42 C/5) and the Executive Secretary’s Preliminary Proposals for 2026–2027 (Draft 43 C/5). 

The group will mainly work by correspondence after the issuance of IOC Circular Letter 2977 under the lead of Vice-Chair Juan Camilo FORERO HAUZEUR (Colombia). The group is composed of members from the following Member States: Australia, Bangladesh, Belgium, Canada, Colombia, Egypt, France, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Kenya, Korea (Republic of), Kuwait, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Tunisia, Türkiye, UK, USA. On 11 June 2024, IFAG held an informal online meeting. See the introduction by the IFAG Chair and the presentation by the IOC Executive Secretary. On 24 June 2024, IFAG members met before the 57th Session of the IOC Executive Council taking place from 25 to 28 June at UNESCO HQ. Access the presentation delivered by the IOC Executive Secretary on this occasion. 

The work of the IOC Intersessional Financial Advisory Group is carried forward by the sessional Financial Committee established when the Executive Council meets in plenary session in June 2024.
