The Orinoquia Regional Autonomous Corporation (Corporinoquia) exercises the highest environmental authority within its area of ​​jurisdiction, which covers 45 municipalities in five departments of Colombia (Arauca, Casanare, Vichada, Cundinamarca and Boyacá). Represents the entity that on behalf of the State manages natural resources and sustainable development, guaranteeing the supply of environmental goods and services through the implementation of prevention, protection and conservation actions for a living region.. Like all Regional Corporations, its purpose is the execution of policies, plans, programs and projects on the environment and renewable natural resources, giving full and timely application to the current legal provisions on their disposal, administration, management and use, in accordance with the regulations, guidelines and directives issued by the Ministry of the Environment of the Government of Colombia.
