ESSA Technologies is a small consulting firm based in Vancouver, in British Columbia, Canada, whose work is focused on natural resource management, monitoring, restoration, and conservation in aquatic and marine environments. Our work in the marine space has been focused on developing community-led and Indigenous-led monitoring programs to inform local stewardship; carrying out vulnerability and risk assessments for recreational fisheries, commercial fisheries, and invasive species; developing participant-led restoration plans and climate change adaptation strategies for coastal ecosystems and fisheries; supporting marine planning including land-sea connections; and leading stakeholder engagement processes through technical facilitation and the creation of multimedia science communications products and web-based decision-support tools. Our considerable work experience in the marine space has been focused in both the eastern Pacific coastal waters of British Columbia and Alaska as well as the broader Caribbean Sea.
