Activities
Our R&D Department fosters an initiative to support the Libyan aspiration for the Ocean Decade and Green Economy Transition through collecting and using geoscientific data in citizen science projects. Our research cell is actively involved in analyzing, modeling, and assessing the qualities of the coastal zone of Libya using spatial and temporal datasets available from Earth observatory systems. The wealth of EO data and tools available online has encouraged our team to develop a specialized laboratory, called 'North Africa Geospace Lab', to allow space for across-region experts to meet, collaborate, and innovate. We are optimistic about expanding our mission to serve the scientific community and the general public in the country by representing the powerfulness and usefulness of ocean data (and its generated products) in making an impactful change in planning and implementing sustainable solutions for the future Mediterranean we want.
