Oceanographic and Fisheries Research Consortium, immersed within the University of Sierra Leone, collaborating with the Institute of Marine Biology and Oceanography.to provide consultancy, training, advocacy/awareness services and to develop initiatives, which will ensure that the conduct of economic developmental activities from the use of the earth systems including ocean environment, and the exploitation of natural resources does not impair the capability of the environment to provide a stream of goods and services on a sustainable basis. Study the impact of climate change on the oceans, coastal communities and marine resources, to understand sensitivity, adaptability, vulnerability and resilience and develop policies, strategies and programs for sustainable oceans, seas and food security.  Climate modeling including ocean circulation modeling, numerical analysis for storm surges, sea level rise and sediment transport. Forecasting of climate regimes and policy development for climate mitigation and adaptation. Chemical oceanography including water quality analysis including dissolved oxygen (DO), biological oxygen demand (BOD), transparency, chloride, sulphate and ammonium analysis.Bio-Fouling, Marine Biodiversity and environmental impact studies, Zooplankton, Sediment Sampling and Sediment particle Analysis.
