The Environmental Public Establishment is the decentralized environmental authority with administrative, financial autonomy, own property and legal status, authorized by law 1617 of 2013 and created by the district council through the agreement of 2014.
Responsible for managing the environment and renewable natural resources within the area of its urban and suburban jurisdiction and promoting its sustainable development in accordance with legal provisions and environmental policies and to avoid environmental degradation.
