Activities
I monitor the environment for
chemical contaminants, especially in coastal ecosystems, and the potential
risks to ecological and human health. I raise awareness and communicate to the
public about the distribution of contaminants in the environment and, the
health implications of ingesting contaminants via the food chain; additionally,
proffering technologies such as utilizing microorganisms and plants in genetic
engineering to harvest pollutants. Also, I have educated the public on the
dangers of harvesting seafoods (crabs) from oil-producing communities, seeking
attention from environmental agencies to monitor production facilities about
pollution and their implication on the environment using articles and research.
Skills
Excellent
verbal and communication and interpersonal skills. I am Collaborative
and team oriented. I love carrying out field work including data
collection, interpretation and environmental analysis.
