Activities
§ Assist
the Director of Research and Statistics to develop and implement research plans
in line with NaFAA's strategic plan.
§ Manage
a team of technical experts and researchers to conduct data analysis, modeling,
simulation, and visualization to support sustainable fisheries resource
management.
§ Coordinate
with internal and external stakeholders, including national institutions,
regional fisheries bodies, and international partners, to ensure alignment of
objectives and priorities.
§ Ensure
compliance with ethical standards and data protection policies.
§ Represent
the Department of Research and Statistics in relevant meetings, workshops, and
conferences.
§ Prepare
and present reports, publications, and proposals to showcase the impact and
achievements of the Department of Research and Statistics.
§ Dissemination
of research findings through publications, presentations, and workshops.
§ Build
partnerships with other organizations to support research activities.
§ Represent
the Department at regional and international meetings and events related to
research.
Skills
Good understanding of field/scientific data collection processes gained
through my experience as a Fisheries Observer and Research Officer
