Jonathan will graduate with a B.Sc. in Biology, expected to finish in August 2023. He has been participating in a scientific initiation program at the Laboratory of Systematics and Ecology of Marine Invertebrates (LABIMAR) at the Federal University of Paraná, since 2019. Under the supervision of Prof. Rosana Moreira da Rocha, PhD. He intends to specialize in ecology and conservation of marine invertebrates during his M.Sc. and, planning and management of coastal and oceanic systems during his PhD. Throughout his undergraduate studies, he had experiences with taxonomy and systematics of tunicates from subtropical waters of the eastern Atlantic; Management and conservation of invasive invertebrates in marine aquaculture environments; and he is currently developing a monitoring work to assess the impact of invasive tunicates on rocky shores of Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and Paraná, in Brazil.
In parallel, he works with solid waste management as a data analyst for reverse logistics of recyclable packaging.
