Activities

Since 2013, I have been working on the water quality characteristics in the context of analysing the physicochemical characteristics, dissolved and particulate trace metals, microbial activities (by CFU counting and MPN methods) of the water as well as trace metals in the sediment  in the tropical estuarine environment.  The  eco-toxicological impact on the surrounding biota was evaluated. In addition, I had also worked on the   persistent organic pollutants (POPs) in air, comparing the megacity Calcutta and Sundarban mangrove wetland environments, India.
