Activities
I am interested in all aspects related to the ecology of the lower trophic levels of marine food-webs. I am currently conducting my PhD in which I investigate the biogeography of different types of mixotrophs across the global oceans consulting open databases and performing meta-analyses. I am also using dynamic models to investigate the impact of mixotrophs in different ecosystem properties, such as, primary production, trophic efficiency, and export of organic carbon to the deep.
