Status of Implementation of the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development and Perspectives for 2024
| Summary | Pursuant to Resolution EC-55/1, this document provides information on the key outcomes of Ocean Decade implementation across the four main pillars of activity: (i) Decade Actions; (ii) Governance and coordination structures and informal working groups; (iii) Resource mobilization; and (iv) Stakeholder engagement and outreach over the period from June 2021 to May 2023. It identifies remaining challenges and opportunities across the pillars and concludes with a vision and outlook for 2023–2024 and beyond. |
